The majority of Jim’s real-world experience is in industrial refrigeration. His refrigeration career began in 1979 after he left the farm and joined a compressor manufacturer. After another -40°F bitter winter in 1982, he finally convinced himself to leave the snow behind and relocated to sunny San Antonio, TX. There he learned ammonia refrigeration system design. York acquired that firm in the late ’80s, and Jim ended up with a group of his peers doing COâ‚‚ liquefaction & purification plants that were installed all over the world.

Over time he has worked as a manufacturer's rep, Contractor, plan & spec specialist, design-build contractor, project manager, and professional industrial engineer. The techniques he used to expand these businesses included a combination of direct marketing and e-mail marketing. He is a certified writer in both web copywriting and search engine optimization copywriting and marketing, website analytics, UX, and sales funnel optimization.
